Under Carriage Water Tank

Kineco has developed this innovative and unique under-carriage product for storing water in passenger train coaches. This was done in association with Advanced Composites Program (TIFAC), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India and IIT, Bombay. This product won the prestigious JEC Award for Excellence in Innovation in 2008.

This light weight underslung water tank is made using state-of-the-art CNC filament winding technology in single piece using glass-polyester construction. The water tank is provided with a thermoplastic liner and a PP protective shield for ballast hits. Tank mounting brackets are made with stainless steel.
