Sky Bus

Kineco developed composite sky bus coaches for the 'Sky Bus Metro' project of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (a Government of India undertaking). Kineco did the turn-key job of concept design and engineering design, design validation, tooling and prototyping. This unique mass transit system is based on an elevated set of tracks with electrically propelled twin cars that move above the city roadways. Being a suspended coach mass transit system, light weight was a pre-requisite and hence the selection of glass fibre composites as material of construction.
