ON-SITE SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE (DISINFECTANT) PRODUCTION & DISINFECTION

Sodium hypo chlorite (NaOCl), also known as "hypo" or "bleach", is a world-wide used and trusted water disinfectant having an unsurpassed disinfection spectrum and the most effective broad range disinfectant against all known pathogenic (disease-producing) bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa.

KLOROGEN®-S SERIES hypochlorite generators (electro chlorinator) converts natural brine (seawater) into 1st grade sodium hypochlorite (ELECTRO HYPO), by means of electrolysis process with the applied low voltage DC current. No chemicals other than ordinary salt are used throughout the process. The instant production of Hypochlorite solution at-site can be stored or utilized for water treatment and disinfection purposes and eliminates the storage and handling of bulk hazardous chemicals.

Concentric Tubular Cell

TiTaN®'s HYPOPAC® SERIES of Concentric tubular Cells when fitted generates various oxidants and radicals by sea water electrolysis including sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) onsite, which inturn can be injected to source-point to disinfect sea water thus preventing marine growth. TiTaN®'s HYPOPAC® concentric tube electrolyzer design incorporates free removal of hydrogen and also prevents scaling due to ingenious design . These self cleaning design ensures near maintenance free operation without any acid cleaning, ensuring the hypo generators to perform consistently for years together

The Advanced Safety HypoPac® Tubular Electrolyzers (electrochemical cells) are built up with series of seamless Titanium Bipolar tubular cells, enclosed with SS316L outer jacket (enclosure) and complies with Essential Health and Safety Requirements relating to design and construction of equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Replacement Electrolyzer Cells

TiTaN's cost-effective advanced water disinfection technology has resulted in the design of the Hypopac® electrolytic cell for the existing TiTaN's (RT CHLOR®-S, RT Marine™) on-site generating system or other existing models.

The new cell design offers improved chlorine production, lower energy consumption, reduced operating costs, maintenance free self cleaning electrolyzers and easy installation. Hypopac® Electrolyzer can be supplied as frame with standard FRP channels and angles or SS 316L metallic enclosure - skid mounted or as loose components or modules.

Sewage Or Effluent Cell

The corrosion proof Cleanilec® cell sealed with silicon rubber and corrosion resistant titanium or special grade alloy fasteners, inlets and passes the sewage or wastewater and generates various oxidants and radicals by waste water electrolysis onsite. The slurry of the seawater and the sewage is electrolyzed in the cell. The electrolysis process disinfects and kills the total bacteria and rapidly oxidize the BODs, CODs in sewage stream.

TiTaN® offers the state of art CLEANILEC® SERIES Mesh type electrode assembly for electrolytic sewage treatment for domestic, marine, offshore and industrial applications - typical Sewage Treatment (STP) system. The Monopolar Mesh Electrode Assembly provide effective electrolytic treatment of both black and gray water.

The slurry of the seawater and the sewage is electrolyzed in the cell. The process disinfects and kills the total bacteria and rapidly oxidize the sewage stream. The electrolytic process naturally generates a minimal amount of hydrogen and carbon dioxide. These byproducts are safely and efficiently diluted using blower or ejector fans and removed by venting to the atmosphere

Membrane Electrolyser

TiTaN® designs and manufactures RT AME® Advanced Membrane Cells( electrochemical cells ) for chlor alkali process, endowed with the following advantages.

RT AME® MEMBRANE CELL

TiTaN®s' RT AME® membrane cell design is similar to the plate and frame filter press. Each membrane cell module of the desired size and capacity is obtained by stacking together anode and cathode assemblies with ion-exchange membranes in between. Several Cells are connected in series for the required capacity.

MEMBRANE CELL PROCESSThe main process of manufacturing chlorine and caustic soda consists primary brine treatment & secondary brine treatment. After these conventional / ion- exchange process brine electrolysis occurs at the membrane cells.After electrolysis of brine in the cell, the weak brine with dissolved chlorine is dechlorinated and returned to the brine making system for fortification. Soft water is fed into the cathode compartment of the cell.

The overall cell reaction is2NaCl + 2H2O → 2NaOH + Cl2↑ + H2↑
