Diaphragm sealed gauge commonly known as “chemical seal” gauge are designed and recommended to isolate the measuring system of a pressure gauge from corrosive, pasty or dangerous fluid depending on the viceosity, pressure, temperature, solidification of a particular process medium.

The diaphragm seal has been filled under vacuum with the transmitting liquid, the pressure gauge/diaphragm seal assembly must never be dismantled.

A carefully designed corrogated diaphragm is used to achieve maximum flexibility and linearity with sufficient stroke to provide the displacement needed to produce full deflection of the sensing element.

The diaphragm is argon arc welded to the top chamber to ensure a perfect selling “No LEAK”. In some cases the diaphragm is coated OR lined with a second membrane (teflon). The welded construction facilitates removal of the gauge for repair/service without process shut down.

The displacement of the diaphragm is transmitted to the bourdon sensing element, through solidly filled liquid having low cubical expansion with greater temperature stability.

The gauge indicator is either directly fitted with the sealed chamber OR by means of capillary tube, thus permitting easier mounting OR the remote reading of the pressure.

These Gauges are recommended where fluid is highly corrosive, contaminated, viscous or liable to crystallize inside measuring system. The gauge above the diaphragm seal is filled with silicon oil that transmits the pressure acting on the diaphragm to bourdon tube Diaphragm is welded to the upper part of sealed unit and therefore it is possible to seperate the upper and lower parts to clean the diaphragm without removing the gauge. Diaphragm can be ANSI 316. Tantalum, Hastelloy C and Monel. Pressure gauge can be of type 1, 3 and 5 and process connection with Standard threads or flanged connection confirming to ANSI, BS or DIN Specifications. Types of adapters

Male-female adapters are used where the size of the male thread is different from the female thread in the parts to be connected.

Female-female adapters are used where both components to be connected have male threads.

Male-male adapters are used where both components to be connected have female threads.

Self-sealing nipples (SS) are used to adapt a smaller size threaded connection to a larger one (e.g. G ¼ auf G ½). Solderless compression fitting with ferrule are used to connect pressure measuring instruments or fittings with pipelines from copper, steel and stainless steel. Particularly useful mounting, no solder or weld points. A sealing washer is included in the delivery.

Flange set with lens-type sealing ring is used for the assembly of high pressure measuring instruments (up to 4000 bar). Through the two threaded flanges, which are clamped by four bolts, the pressure measuring instrument can be positioned in any orientation required.

Weld-on adapters with male thread they are used with left-handed threads for connection with LH-RH union, and with right-handed threads (per EN 837-1) they are mainly found with direct pressure port entries.

Rotatable gauge adapters (swivel adapters) enable the orientation of pressure measuring instruments through a 360 ° range.

The snubber is adjustable (modification of the crosssectional flow) and can thus be adapted individually to the respective operating conditions. A readjustment during operation, if required, is possible at any time.

The pulsations and pressure surges in the medium, occurring e.g. in compressors, steam engines, hydraulic presses, tensile testing machines etc., are largely compensated by this snubber. Description

Syphons per DIN 16282 U-form, form B, and trumpet form, form D, have a welding connection for the pressure tapping on the process side and a threaded connection on the instrument side.

In the industrial standard versions, threaded connections are also available for the pressure tapping on the process side.

U-form syphons are intended for horizontal pressure tapping; trumpet-form syphons are intended for vertical pressure tapping.
Inside the syphon, condensate is collected, which prevents the ingress of hot media into the measuring instrument. We recommend filling the syphon with a cooling separating liquid before commissioning the pressure line. Options

Description

Each thermowell is an important component of any temperature measurement point. It is used to separate the process from the surrounding area, thus protecting the environment and operating personnel and keeps aggressive media, high pressures and flow rates from the temperature sensor itself and thereby enables the thermometer to be exchanged during operation.
Based on the almost limitless application possibilities, there are a large number of variants, such as thermowell designs or materials. The type of process connection and the basic method of manufacture are important design differentiation criteria. A basic differentiation can be made between threaded and weld-in thermowells, and those with flange connections. Furthermore, one can differentiate between fabricated and solid-machined thermowells. Fabricated thermowells are constructed from a tube, that is closed at the tip by a welded solid tip. Solid-machined thermowells are manufactured from barstock.
