Chemical and physical properties: Most commercial polypropylene is isotactic and has an intermediate level of crystallinity between that of low density polyethylene ( LDPE ) and high density polyethylene ( HDPE ); its Young's modulus is also intermediate. PP is normally tough and flexible, especially when copolymerised with ethylene. This allows polypropylene to be used as an engineering plastic, competing with materials such as ABS. Polypropylene is reasonably economical, and can be made translucent when uncolored but is not as readily made transparent as polystyrene, acrylic or certain other plastics. It is often opaque and/or coloured using pigments. Polypropylene has good resistance to fatigue.
 

 Properties: HDPE has little branching, giving it stronger intermolecular forces and tensile strength than lower-density polyethylene. It is also harder and more opaque . High-density polyethylene, unlike polypropylene, cannot withstand normally-required autoclaving conditions. The lack of branching is ensured by an appropriate choice of catalyst and reaction conditions. HDPE contains the chemical elements carbon and hydrogen.

It is a copolymer made by polymerizing styrene and acrylonitrile in the presence of polybutadiene.The styrene gives the plastic a shiny, impervious surface. The butadiene, a rubbery substance, provides resilience even at low temperatures. ABS can be used between -25 and 60 °C. The properties are created by rubber toughening, where fine particles of elastomer are distributed throughout the rigid matrix.

Polystyrene (PS) , is an aromatic polymer made from the aromatic monomer styrene, Polystyrene is a thermoplastic substance, normally existing in solid state at room temperature, but melting if heated (for molding or extrusion), and becoming solid again when cooling off. Polystyrene is one of the most widely used kind of plastic.

 PVC is produced by polymerization of the monomer vinyl chloride. PVC Sheets can be fabricated and installed. It is easily formable, weldable, drilled, easily punched, can be machined and can be bounded using adhesive(solvant cement). PVC Sheets exhibit high impact strength and are ideal for heavy duty industrial applications.

These plentiful substances dissolve quite easily in very wet environments unless they are protected.

Polypropylene (PP) is a semi-rigid, translucent polymer with good toughness and weather resistance properties. PP has a density of 0.90 to 0.91 g/cm3 which is amongst the lowest densities for all plastics. PP is characterized by its outstanding chemical resistance and good fatigue strength. Due to its excellent thermal stability, PP can be used successfully even at 100 0 C. It is generally available in three forms for use in pipelines PP- Homopolymer (PP-H), PP-copolymer (PP-C) and PP Random Copolymer (PP-R). Other options in PP include fire retardant grades & electro-conductive grades. PP can also be UV stabilized by use of a stabilizer and can be produced in black color.
