Carbon Dioxide division of IFB Agro Industries Ltd. is one of the major manufacturers of both Food Grade & Industrial Grade liquid Carbon dioxide and Dry ice.
It is FSSC 22000:2011 certified and complied with GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) requirements.
The division has its State of the Art manufacturing facility (supplied by Wittemann, USA) at Noorpur, 24 Parganas (South). The unit has been set up with international standard of safety, hygiene and quality conforming to ISBT (International Society of Beverage Technologists) and FSSC 22000 standard.
Commercial production was started in the year 1996.
It supplies Carbon Dioxide in bulk form and also in cylinders.
Dry Ice is usually supplied in insulated PVC boxes in both block and pellet forms.
The installed production capacity is 25 MT per day and storage capacity is 300 MT.
The division has four dedicated cryogenic transport tanker for catering bulk requirement of east and north east part of the country.
The division is also having a cylinder filling unit at Noorpur along with CCE (Chief Controller of Explosives) approved cylinder test shop. Noorpur distillery of IFB Agro Industries Ltd. is the supplier of crude Carbon Dioxide for further processing like compression, purification, liquefaction, drying etc. to achieve more than 99.9% purity level.
