For the longer life of Mulch films, used in Agriculture special UV Additive concentrates are used by film producers. These concentrates also provide resistance to Sulphur and some pesticides which can erode the UV Additive from the film.
Also, White & Black Masterbatches are used to impart colour to Agriculture Pipes alongwith Additive Concentrates such as Anti-Oxdiants, Processing Aids, UV Stabilizers.
Polyester based textile products such as Polyester Staple Fiber(PSF), Partially Oriented Yarn(POY) require Masterbatch Concentrates to provide colours such as White & Black. These Colours are provided by White&Black PET Based Masterbatches. In Addition to this, several Additive concentrates contain UV , FR are added to provide special properties like UV/FR resistance to the Fiber/Yarn. Optical Brightener Concentrates are added to improve the brighteness of the Fiber/Yarn in the final application.
In blow molded applications such as Tanks, Masterbatches provide the Colour required. In addition to colour, Additive Masterbatch containing Anti-Oxdiants & Processing Aids are added to increase the life of the molded article and also to improve the processing. Some Molded articles also contain UV resistance, which are provided by the use of UV Masterbatches.
Flexible Packaging involves the use of Packaging films for objects as well as foodstuff. Anti-Blocks and Slip Masterbatches are used extensively for Packaging Films for providing good surface properties. Also, some special AntiFog Masterbatch concentrates are used in packaging of foodstuff to prevent Fogging when packaging fresh vegetables or meat.
Woven Sacks/Raffia are used for primarily package and storage of Food grains. Since these need to be stored for a good period of time, they require UV resistance to make sure the Woven Sacks maintains its properties. UV Masterbatch concentrates are added to improve the lifespan of the Woven Sacks
BOPP/CPP Films are used extensively for food packaging. Most of these films are also metallized to provide better barrier properties. Special Anti-Block Masterbatches are added to these films to provide optimum surface properties. White Masterbatches are also added to provide the Whiteness/Opacity in the film.
