Cypermethrin

Description : CYPERMETHRIN is a highly active synthetic pyrethroid insecticide. It controls a wide range of insect pests on a variety of crops by stomach and contact action.

Chemical Name : [RS]-α-cyano-3-phenoxybenzyl (1RS)-Cis-trans-3-(2, 2 dichlorovinyl)-2, 2-dimethyl cyclopropane carboxylate.

The product conforms to IS : 12015 (1987) and its amendments
a) Appearance : Light yellow to brown viscous liquid to semi solid mass material
b) Cypermethrin content by GLC : 92% (w/w) minimum 
c) Cis-Trans ratio by HPLC : 55 : 45 (Normal Cis) 
d) Acidity (as H2SO4) : 0.3% (w/w) maximum 
e) Moisture content (by Karl Fischer method) : 0.2% (w/w) maximum 
f) Meta phenoxy benzaldehyde : 2.0% (w/w) maximum by GLC.

For Chinese market we also offer Cypermethrin Tech. 94% (w/w) minimum purity with 40 : 60 Cis : Trans ratio and Meta pheoxy benzaldehyde 0.3%(w/w) maximum - special grade required for converting Cypermethrin in to Betacypermethrin.

Formulations : Emulsifiable concentrates 5%, 5.5%, 10%, 20% and 25% (w/w) and (w/v) and wettable powder (10% WP) 1.0% chalk, 1.8% ULV are available.

Compatibility : Compatible with most insecticides, fungicides etc.

Toxicity : 
a) Mammalian toxicity : WHO classification : Class II “moderately hazardous”
b) Environmental toxicity : Cypermethrin under field conditions does not pose an undue threat to bees.

Grades : Customised purities with specific Cis-Trans combinations available. For veterinary use, we also produce "VICH" grade Cypermethrin.

Shelf-life : Two years under normal storage conditions.
