Ultramarine Blue

Ultramarine Blue is an inorganic pigment whose color has been classified as Pigment Blue 29/C.I. 77007 by the Color Index System. Chemically it is a sodium aluminum sulphosilicate. This pigment is the synthetic form of a mineral called Lazurite. 
Ultramarine Blue has got a clean and bright reddish blue shade. This makes Ultramarine Blue different to any other blue pigment of the market and due to this fact very attractive.

In addition to this very specific reddish blue shade, Ultramarine Blue is an excellent white corrector that neutralizes yellowish shades. This whitening effect is widely appreciated in many fields of application e.g.plastics, coatings, detergents.

Zinc Ferrites

Zinc Ferrite is an inorganic pigment whose tan color has been classified as Pigment Yellow 119/C.I. 77496 (Zinc Ferrite) by the Color Index System. Its basic chemical composition is a Spinel Fe2O3.ZnO

Being slightly redder than Yellow Iron Oxides, the main differential benefit vs such pigments is their enhanced heat fastness. Nubifer Y-805K stands up to 300ºC (5 min) and Nubifer Y-905K, up to 260ºC (5 min).

Nubiola’s Corrosion Inhibitors range is composed of 2 sub-ranges: Anticorrosive Pigments and Liquid Flash Rust Inhibitors.

Our Anticorrosive Pigments inhibit or prevent metal corrosion due to its electrochemical action. They are used in coatings directly in contact with the metal substrate. 

Our Liquid Flash Rust Inhibitor prevents immediate rust of metal substrates when they are in contact with a waterborne coating (flash rust inhibition, when the coating is applied on the substrate, or in can rust prevention, when the coating is in-can stored) or simply water (short term temporary protection of bare metal prior to storage or coating).

Chrome Oxide Green is an inorganic pigment whose olive-green color has been classified as Pigment Green 17/C.I. 77288 (Chrome Oxide Green) by the Colour Index System. Its basic chemical composition is Cr2O3.

Bismuth Vanadates

Bismuth Vanadates Nubivan Y-901 is a lead- and chrome-free Inorganic Pigment which provides a Greenish Yellow shade. It is classified as a non-hazardous Inorganic Pigment. 

The Greenish Yellow color has been classified as Pigment Yellow 184/C.I. 771740 (Bismuth Vanadates) by the Colour Index System. Its basic chemical composition is BiVO4

Bismuth Vanadates have been widely used in the Plastics and Coatings industries because of their outstanding weather and light fastness and good acid and alkali resistance.

Nubivan Y-901 combined with Organic Pigments allows developing high gloss, bright and opaque yellow, red, orange and green color shades, being then a suitable replacement for Chrome Yellows and Molybdate Orange.
