Basic Description

The very sturdy construction of “FRIENDS” Die Cutting Machine or Platen Punching & Creasing Press guarantees for perfect works under heaviest conditions.Frame, Platen & Main Gears made of special high tensile Cast Iron are resistant to deformation even if subjected to greatest strain. The platen is driven from the ball bearing mounted shaft through a pair of reduction spiral gears protected by guards.The main gear shaft and connecting arms are mounted on Phosphor Bronze bushes.The reduction gear shaft is made of hardened high quality alloy-steel. Lubricated counter- pressure elements prevent the gears from deviating under the work pressure.

Electromagnetic Clutch & Break System

Electromagnetic clutch & brake in Die Cutting Machine enables push-button control of the machine for easy and efficient operation. Complete safety is ensured by full electrical interlocking. Electrical synchronization of both the clutch and the brake eliminates the possibility of time lag or over-lag between driving & braking. Instead of Pedal Control, there is a clean panel within operator’s easy reach from where all machine operations can be controlled

Dwell Timing Device

This timing device in Die Cutting Machine can be set to give a variable period from 0.5 to 10 seconds. During this time the platen remains stationary in the open position before automatically resuming motion at the end of the set dwell period. This is a particularly useful feature where feeding work requires a fine register or when large or difficult sheets are being fed which would otherwise have to be run using the single impression procedure. This device can increase output to more than double that of a machine on single impression working and can also be of great assistance during the training of an operator.This model differs from pedal controlled machines being driven by Electro Magnetic Clutch & Brake Unit and Training Control Dwell.

Safety in the Machine

All moving parts on Die Cutting Machine are protected by approved safety guards. A special feature is the patented guard which protects the operator from the moving block. Should any object come between the moving block and this guard, a slight backward movement of the guard will occur stopping the moving block immediately and isolating the starting mechanism. Untill the Guard is moved forward by hand the machine remains dead and isolated from any attempt to actuate it through the starting mechanism.

The oblique type high speed Corrugation Machine model offers a high rate of production and enhanced efficiency. The flute rollers mounted on the roller bearings, for smoother running and longer life, impart the proper impression on the board. Dancing rolls are provided to eliminate the effect of improper winding of paper on the finished product. The machine is provided with motorized self loading twin shaft reel stand with 3 unwinding shafts. Shaftless hydraulic reel stand is recommended for this machine. The machine is to be heated by steam, Two preheating cylinders are provided with the machine.

For high production capacity and increased efficiency as compared to other models. Rolls are mounted on roller bearing for smooth running & longer life. The machine is provided with gum tray movement device which becomes operational when gum unit is disengaged from rollers. The machine is recommended to be used on steam heating or thermic fluid heating. App. output of machine is 110rtf/min.

Reel to Sheet Cutter machine is designed to cut paper as well as 2 ply corrugated board (without damaging the flutes) in the form of sheets. This machine can be used as an independent unit or can be attached to a corrugating machine for direct & accurate sheet cutting. The cutting length can be infinitely varied in between the range (1.5) with a PIV gear box, comprising of imported chain. The belts convey the cut paper or 2 ply for manual collection. Separate reel stand is provided for paper cutting. The variable speed motor is provided as standard with this model. Reel to Sheet Cutter is also available without PIV Gear Box

Hand fed sheet pasting machine is useful for gluing fluted side of board for making 3, 5, 7 ply corrugated board.

Sheet pressing machine is used for pressing of corrugated sheet. The glued sheets which are then processed on pasting machine are piled on lower plate & then pressure is applied foe some time by lowering upper plate.

The next process after cutting and creasing of the sheet is slotting and corner cutting. It is simultaneously carried over this machine. Three slotting and one corner cutting die can be easily adjusted by gear rack mechanism. The upper dies move in an arc so that the board is slotted in a shearing manner. Two guides are provided on the feed table to support the sheets while cutting.

Cutting and Creasing is the initial process carried out in the manufacture of a corrugated box. It is simultaneously carried over this machine. Two pairs of shafts have creasing and cutting heads mounted on them which can be easily set as required. Depending upon the thickness of the board (3 ply, 5 ply, 7 ply, 9 ply), separate creases are to be used. The sheets are piled on the feed table and fed through the machine by hand.

This Machine is used for last and final operation in box making. Parts are standardized and interchangeable. Machine is capable of continous running at high speed. Design of the Machine is universal & world famous. Very easy in operation, servicing & repairing.
